Post-quantum technologies and PKI challenges

Makan Rafiee is senior consultant at secunet Security Networks AG in the Automotive division and in the Industry division. He studied cryptography with elliptic curves during mathematics and computer science studies. The focus of his work at secunet is PKI projects, the planning and commissioning of Certificate Authorities (CAs) in the automotive environment. Makan has participated in the Summer School for Post-Quantum Cryptography as well as the PQ Conference in 2017 and has been working on post- quantum primitives since then.

In this podcast Makan is sharing insights into the world of post-quantum cryptography, his ideas on hybrid certificates and their part in PKI evolution and thoughts on how to be prepared for the moment when practical quantum computers become available.
